You asked Finance for margin by segment three weeks ago. The spreadsheet landed last Tuesday, and it already disagrees with the sales report tab. Ask Claude AI instead. It builds the pivot, drills a cell down to the invoices, and saves the view for your whole team.

Tesylate connects your systems, agrees the definitions and helps your team turn the model into usable views.

Capabilities

The grown-up pivot table

Orders and invoices together

Orders get counted a line at a time, invoices a whole invoice at a time, and they still sit in one grid, lined up on the month, customer or rep they share. You would have asked someone to build a combined view first. Don't.

Variance built in

You set the comparison once, and the gap between this month's margin and last month's sits in the next column along. Job done.

Top-N, honestly

You wanted the top 5 customers by margin, and 400 rows of everyone else would have buried them. So everyone else rolls into one Other row. The total still ties back.

Conditional formatting

You set the rule once: anything under 30% margin goes red. Next month you open the view and it is already red.

Relative dates

You set it to the last 12 months once, and the window is worked out again every time the view opens. Open it in March and it means March.

Excel export

You download it with the £ and the % intact, or take flat rows and do your own sums. Excel goes back to being an outbox.

Evidence

Drill to the row

Your financial director looks at the margin on the screen saying “that can’t be right”. Relax. Simply click the cell to open the invoices behind it. Check it live in seconds — together.

Saved views

Yours, and shared on purpose

Owned, then shared

Every view has one owner. Share yours with permitted users. It appears in their picker and runs the query again when they open it, less anything permissions keep off their screen.

Plain English in

You type "aged debt by customer, over 60 days". The AI assistant checks what you are allowed to see based on permissions and runs it.

Consent-stamped writes

Reading your numbers is what Claude AI gets by default. Saving or deleting a view requires explicit permission. The system records every authorised person who makes a change.
